Koerner, Martha (24 OCT 1935)
The marriage of Miss Martha Koerner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Koerner, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), to Laverne Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Johnson, also of Curtiss, took place at the Dorchester Lutheran Church last Thursday afternoon, Rev. J. Brandt officiating.
The bride wore a gown of white taffeta with matching accessories and her bouquet was of roses. Miss Gertrude Koerner, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Ruth Kind, bridesmaid. They both wore white organdie frocks with harmonizing accessories. Autumn flowers formed their bouquets.
Harold Koerner was the best man, and Donald Wichell acted as groomsman.
A 6:30 supper was served in the evening at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for 30 guests, relatives of the immediate families. In the evening a wedding dance was given at the village hall.
The groom is stationed at CCC Camp Fairchild, Curtiss, Wis.
